The Tasbreeders Annual Mid-Year Function will be held at Country Club Tasmania on September 4, 2010. Dr. Peter Huntington from Kentucky Equine Research will be the featured speaker. Huntington will present information on nutrition and general care for mares and weanlings. He will also explain the process of yearling preparation, particularly the importance of providing the right mix of exercise and feed for growing well-conformed and muscled yearlings. This presentation will be particularly relevant to people entering horses in the upcoming yearling sales as it will hopefully help owners to maximize a return on their investment in the sale ring.
