Clarissa Brown-Douglas from Wellington, New Zealand graduated with an honors degree in Animal Science and PhD in equine growth and development from Massey University, New Zealand. Her research focused on growth and puberty in Thoroughbreds born in the spring and autumn. After graduating Clarissa lived in Aspen, Colorado before landing in Kentucky to work in the Thoroughbred industry. Clarissa spent five months prepping yearlings at Lane's End Farm before joining the KER team as a research fellow in October 2005. She spent a year analyzing KER's large database of body weight and growth data. In early 2007, Clarissa took over the role as international client services manager. Clarissa has been involved in horses all her life, but also enjoys skiing, traveling, and reading.
