Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored barrel racer Dona Kay Rule and her gelding, High Valor, are competing at the 2022 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR).

After the first four runs, Dona Kay and Valor have landed in the top six twice, with a sixth-place finish in Round 1 and a second place in Round 3. The pair has earned more than $26,000, with several rounds left to contest.

Based on money won at qualifying competitions during the season, the top fifteen ranked barrel racers compete at the NFR in ten rounds over ten days to determine the best of the best. Competitors earn money by placing first through sixth in any round and can pick up more money by placing first through eighth in the average. The placings of the average are based on the cumulative amount earned during the 10 rounds at the NFR competition.

At the end of the ten days, two champions are named: the average winner and the world champion (the barrel racer who finished the year with the most money).

To keep Valor feeling his best, Dona Kay relies on Nano-Q10™ and Race Recovery™ from KER Targeted Nutrition. “Valor gives me everything on the pattern. To ensure I’m doing my best for him, I rely on supplements developed and proven by Kentucky Equine Research.”
