Equestrian Australia (EA) selected Kentucky Equine Research-sponsored rider Megan Jones for the 2022 Oceania Championships, to be held in Victoria at the Melbourne International Three-Day Event, 9-13 June.

Australia will field three teams—two Senior teams and one Young Rider team—and Megan and RLE Barina have been chosen to ride on a Senior team. The composition of the Senior teams will not be announced until later.

According to EA, “the Oceania Championships are an important component of the EA High Performance Program, giving athletes the opportunity to gain championship-level experience in the Southern Hemisphere as part of a representative team.”

Megan has been sponsored by Kentucky Equine Research for many years, and chooses products that support her horses’ energy reserves and their muscle health.

“I have been feeding Equi-Jewel® for 20 years,” she said. “Because the feed is so versatile, I am able to manage the diets of my top eventers all the way down to four-year-olds just starting their careers. Equi-Jewel provides my horses with enough energy for cross-country but rideability for the dressage.”

The importance of muscle health cannot be stressed enough, especially when it comes to the rigors of three-day eventing. “Like most performance horses, my horses are not afforded the luxury of lush paddocks all day. To get their much-needed natural vitamin E requirements for muscle and tissue repair, Nano-E® is part of my horses’ diets. It helps them recover from the day’s work.”
