The brand alliance between Hallway Feeds and Kentucky Equine Research represents a partnership between two of the world’s leaders in equine nutrition technology and manufacturing.
KER is a research and consultation company whose goal is to increase the industry’s knowledge of equine nutrition and exercise physiology to produce healthier, more athletic horses. Discoveries made at KER’s research farm in Central Kentucky have changed how horses around the world are fed and managed.
Over the past two decades KER has collaborated with Hallway to design feeds that have raised and fueled many of the legends of Thoroughbred racing. At its state-of-the-art feed mill in Lexington, Ky., Hallway manufactures and distributes premium horse feeds to multiple breeds and disciplines across the United States and to 15 countries abroad.
KER has collaborated with Hallway Feeds and the University of Minnesota to develop Re-Leve® which is the only scientifically proven horse feed for horses suffering from recurrent exertional rhabdomyolysis (RER). Additionally, KER and Hallway have developed extensive databases of growth data for Thoroughbred foals and yearlings, which have been incorporated into KER’s Gro-Trac® growth tracking software program.
