Before you put your horse in the trailer and head out for a show or trail ride, pick out his feet. Chances are, there’s nothing stuck in them, but in order to make sure he’s safe and comfortable during the ride, a check of each hoof is a good idea. If there’s anything hard or sharp wedged in the bottom of a hoof, you’ll be able to get it out instead of having your horse standing on it for the next few hours. Taking an extra minute can mean having a sound horse when you get to your destination.
