Recent research from KER has seen some exciting developments in nutrition for supporting sound bone mineralisation and bone density. KER BMC™ contains a unique, marine-derived, organic calcium source, which is shown to be far more bioavailable than traditional calcium sources. KER BMC™ is a research-proven bone building supplement combining the calcium source and a selection of organic minerals to support bone health may be of benefit to horses with shin soreness. It is demonstrated by research to improve cannon bone density x 3 and thickness x 2 in exercised horses. This is of particular benefit to young, growing horses, and racehorses in spelling and training, as bone mineral content in the horse fluctuates during the first few years of life, until the horse reaches maturity. KER BMC™ also has the benefit of a buffering effect in the gastrointestinal tract; with research studies showing it can improve buffering capacity of the stomach x 2 and hindgut by 54%.
