Meon Valley Stud, based near Winchester, reached the remarkable milestone of breeding 1,000 winners with Telecaster’s romp in the Group 2 Dante Stakes at the York Dante Festival 16 May 2019.

Telecaster, by New Approach and out of Shirocco Star, held off a challenge from 2018 Two-Year-Old Champion Too Darn Hot to win the Dante Stakes and spark Derby talk for the colt who debuted just two months ago. Half-brother Starcaster also had a win at the York Dante Festival, giving Meon Valley Stud its 1,000th win and 1,001st win within 24 hours.

Meon Valley Farm is a long-term Saracen Horse Feeds client and was an early adopter of the Saracen range of Thoroughbred feeds, developed in partnership with Hallway Feeds and Kentucky Equine Research.
