Thiamine plays an important role in the maintenance of normal nerve transmission, appetite and body weight. Supplementation of thiamine may benefit horses on high-grain diets, those in heavy training and those with symptoms of thiamine deficiency, such as weight loss and anxious or nervous behavior.
B-Quiet is a thiamine supplement that has been formulated to treat the symptoms of thiamine deficiency including hyperirritability and nervousness in excitable, high-strung horses. B-Quiet is also available as a paste that provides concentrated levels of thiamine and magnesium.
Brook and Angela Dobbin of Glenwood Park explained, “B-Quiet is great for horses that get worked up at shows. We find that giving B-Quiet Paste approximately four hours before competition makes a big difference in their jumping performance.”
