Dr. Peter Huntington, director of nutrition for Kentucky Equine Research Australasia, will speak about fertility and mare reproduction at the Hunter Thoroughbred Breeders Association Breeders Seminar 2019, held 13 August at the Hunter Valley Equine Research Centre in Scone, NSW.

The theme of this year’s seminar is “Fertility, Health, Drought.” Huntington’s presentation will focus on the effect of drought on fertility and mare reproduction. He will join other industry professionals and veterinarians invited to present on numerous topics, including:

  • Agronomy drought updates and climate management,
  • Changes in yearling prep: Feeding for better muscle growth,
  • Science updates on stallion fertility,
  • AgriFutures stallion fertility project, and
  • Plump pregnancies: Laminitic mares.
