KER sponsored rider Sophia Landy finished in the top spot of the CCI2* Bates Young Rider Championship at the Australian International Three-Day Event held 15-18 November 2018 in Adelaide, South Australia.

“Hughie went above and beyond… he is the youngest horse here at Adelaide, being a 7-year-old and just a year and a half off the track, and jumped around clear, and so confidently. My watch stopped working so I just kept on galloping, and in the end came in 40 seconds under time – whoops!” said Sophia in a Facebook post after completing her double-clear cross-country run.

Sophia went on to describe Hughie’s recovery process as, “lots of icing, walking and of course Kentucky Equine Research Restore Paste.” Sophia’s post-cross-country care paid off as the pair finished the show jumping course with only four faults to earn the title of 2018 National Young Rider Champion.
