Andrew Soper

Born in the western district of Victoria on a sheep, cattle, and cropping farm, Andrew worked with horses as part of his day-to-day routine during his childhood. His parents started a small horse-breeding operation that led to importing a stallion from the United States. He became involved in Pony Club and became a keen competitor, having success at many levels including representing Australia as a member of the Quarter Horse Youth World Cup and eventually becoming a coach of an Australian team.

After finishing school, Andrew became a carpenter but was drawn back to the horse industry to run a small stud and training centre in Whittlesea. Later, he started training show horses and had great success in doing so. From there, he spent many years working for International Race Horse Transport as a flying groom, and this gave him great insight into the horse industry.  Andrew and his family members are keen competitors and enjoy the challenges of having horses look and preform their best.
