Research Intern

Emily Robyn

Emily Robyn is a 2023-2024 Research Intern from Kansas City, Missouri. Emily attended North Carolina State University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in animal science with a minor in genetics. She plans on going to graduate school in the Fall of 2024 to pursue research in the area of equine genetics.

Emily has grown-up surrounded by horses. Her parents have owned racehorses since the 1970s, and she grew up going to Churchill Downs, where she grew to love all things Thoroughbred. Emily competes in hunter/jumper competitions, and she retrained an off-the-track Thoroughbred when she was in high school. Aside from her love of horses, Emily is a HUGE Kansas City Chiefs fan. She is super excited for being able to continue riding during her internship while also working with her project pony, Mo!
