Ryon Springer, M.S.

A native of Ocala, Florida, Ryon has a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Tarleton State University and a master’s degree in animal science, focus on equine nutrition, also from Tarleton State University. Ryon completed his master’s program under Dr. Trinette Jones, and his thesis focused one evaluating hempseed meal as a feedstuff for horses and in vitro statistical modeling of fiber composition of different feeds.

Ryon is a graduate of our research internship program, having spent a summer interning at the Kentucky Equine Research Performance Center in Ocala, Florida. Ryon has many ties to the equine industry, including being an avid team roper; he raises and trains his own team roping horses. He has plans to continue on to a PhD in equine nutrition and exercise physiology.
