We’ve organized 135 different feeds from 20 different manufacturers for shipment to the U.S. from a consolidation point in Kent, U.K. This constitutes 40 tons of feed and chaff. In addition, three different types of GoldenGrass haylage were sent directly from Lithuania to provide for the forage needs of horses that are traditionally maintained on haylage rather than dry hay.

These feeds are from brands based in Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, The Netherlands, and even Australia and will be fed to horses from 38 different nations competing in eight different disciplines.

In addition to the feeds that were pre-ordered by teams whose horses are based in Europe or accustomed to eating the European brands of feeds, we will also be sourcing an additional 40 feeds from U.S. manufacturers and European brands that are already available in the U.S.

Timothy, alfalfa, and orchardgrass hay, along with typical cereal grains and other feedstuffs such as flaxseed and beet pulp, will also be available for teams to use on the venue. We estimate the horses will consume up to 6 kg (13.2 lb) of feed and grains and approximately 11 kg (22 lb) of hay or other forage products per day.
