Eventers sponsored by Kentucky Equine Research earned top ribbons from the Rocking Horse Winter I Horse Trial, January 24-26, in Altoona, Florida.

Buck Davidson topped the ribbon count, bringing home eight ribbons from the competition. Six of his ribbons were earned in the Intermediate divisions, with Carlevo earning the blue in the Open Intermediate 1-Day B and Victor B Z placing seventh in the same division. In the Open Intermediate 1-Day A, Buck finished second with Copper Beach, fifth with Approved Power, and eighth with Cooley Candyman. He also finished second in the Open Intermediate A with Fernhill Chaos. Buck ended the weekend by placing fifth in Training Horse A with Cerafino D and third in Training Horse B with DHI Showman.

Buck chooses KER Sport Horse Nutrition feeds for his high-performance horses. “KER has always been the authority on feeding high-performance sport horses,” Buck said. “I’ve always relied on KER-formulated feeds.”

Liz Halliday-Sharp also showed a deep string of horses at Rocking Horse. She earned the top two spots in the Preliminary Horse division, winning with Cooley Be Cool and coming in second with Cooley Seeking Fortune. Liz also rode in the Open Intermediate 1-Day divisions, finishing third in the Open Intermediate 1-Day A with Flash Cooley, and second and tenth in the Open Intermediate 1-Day B with Cooley Moonshine and Cooley Stormwater, respectively. She wrapped up the weekend with a second place in the Open Training B with Sharoe Cooley and ninth place in Open Novice B with Cooley Black Hawk.

Liz relies on the antioxidant supplement Nano-Q10™  to help her horses recover between phases. She also uses Bio-Bloom™ PSEO-3™EquiShure®Restore® SRRiteTrac®, and Synovate HA® to give her horses targeted nutritional support for optimal performance.

“The ability to quickly bounce back between phases is so important in eventing,” Liz said. “Coenzyme Q10 is a key nutrient for muscle health and recovery. I rely on Nano-Q10 from KER to ensure I’m supporting my winning event horses with the latest in equine nutrition science.”

Dominic Schramm started his season off well, finishing third in the Open Preliminary 1-Day A with Casalto. He earned a pair of sixth-pace finishes in the Open Preliminary A with Quadrocana and in the Open Novice B with Dawn Breaker.

Dom and his wife, Jimmie, use diets formulated by the experts at Kentucky Equine Research to provide their horses with optimal nutrition.  They count on Bio-Bloom™ PSNano-E®Restore® SRSynovate HA® and KER-formulated Legends® Feeds.

Anna Loschiavo finished fifth in the Open Intermediate A with Spartacus Q, eighth in the Open Preliminary A with Fernhill Hole Shot, and eighth in the Open Training B with Quinseys Storm.

Anna uses the KER ClockIt™ app to track her horses’ fitness and fine-tune her feel for their speed, strength, and endurance. In addition to the app, Anna also uses Nano-Q10™ to help her speed recovery between workouts. Nano-Q10 is a highly bioavailable form of coenzyme Q10, a powerful antioxidant that protects cells from the damaging effects of free radicals and energizes other antioxidants in the body, like vitamins C and E.
